Purchases

Runyard has a free tier that covers what most people need to run a couple of services and probes day to day. When you're ready for more, a one-time Unlimited Tools unlock lifts the limits across all your configurations. And if Runyard has earned a spot in your workflow, the tip jar is a small, optional way to say thanks.

What's free

The free tier covers the most common setup:

If your config.json goes past one of the limits, the extra entries stay visible in the menu and Settings, but appear dimmed with a small lock icon. They don't run, don't poll, and AppleScript actions don't execute. Reorder or remove entries to choose which ones are active under the cap, or unlock Unlimited Tools to lift the caps entirely.

Unlimited Tools

A one-time purchase that removes all three caps. Once unlocked, Runyard manages as many services, probes, and AppleScript actions as you can throw at it. No subscription, no expiry.

One Mac per license. If you use Runyard on more than one Mac, you'll need one license for each. You can deactivate a Mac at any time to move the license to another machine.

To purchase:

  1. Open Settings → Purchases.
  2. Click the unlock button. Your default browser opens the secure Dodo Payments checkout page.
  3. Complete payment. Dodo Payments emails you a license key, and (if Runyard is running) automatically activates this Mac.

If automatic activation didn't happen, for example if you bought it from a different Mac:

  1. Open Settings → Purchases.
  2. Click I have a license key.
  3. Paste the key from your Dodo Payments email.
  4. Click Activate.

Managing your license

Settings → Purchases shows your activation state at a glance.

If you lose your license key, click Lost your license key? → in the paywall sheet. It opens the same customer portal where you can recover your keys.

Tip jar

If Runyard has earned a place in your daily setup, the tip jar is a small way to say thanks. It doesn't unlock anything beyond what Unlimited Tools already does. It's purely a "buy the developer a coffee" button. Or lunch. Or dinner. Or whatever feels right.

Four optional tiers:

The first three are fixed-amount tiles. The fourth opens the Dodo Payments "Pay What You Want" checkout, where you choose the amount yourself on the hosted page.

Each tile opens its checkout in your default browser. After a successful payment, the per-tier counter visible in Settings → Purchases bumps by one. Counters are local to your Apple account and synced across your Macs via iCloud, so your tips travel with you.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Dodo Payments. Use the customer portal link to request one.

Privacy

Your license key and instance ID are stored in the macOS Keychain, and never leave your Mac except to call Dodo's public license-validation API. Tip counter values stay in your iCloud account. Runyard does send anonymous feature-usage analytics through TelemetryDeck (things like app launches, which tool types you start, which actions you trigger, and which Settings tabs you open), along with your app version and macOS version. Each signal is tagged only with a coarse "free" or "unlimited" cohort. No personal data and no purchase or license details (no keys, no amounts, no payment identifiers) are ever sent to TelemetryDeck.
